Canadians, Like the Americans, do not like foreigners dictating landing rights policies to them. The UAE feels they can bully our Government into changing landing rights policies by sticking it to tourists from Canada. I for one will not be going to ANY Arab countries anytime soon( If ever for that matter) so I predict, the only people that will be affected, are those Canadian citizens with family in the UAE. The UAE just recently kicked the Canadian military out of the UAE because of this same landing rights policy decision. The UAE acting like a spoiled, whining child will not change our policies here, only hurt tourism there.

Guess am not visiting Dubai as planned next year. too bad for their tourism industry. Here I come South America

1- united arab emirates people have to obtain visa before visiting csnada, so the opposite should be true. which is very logic that canadians would need visa as well.
2- canadian government wants to dictate how economic relations should be, well, based on what? why do the canadians think for second they are better? or they deserve to make use of the arab generosity without offering any thing in return.

Why are canadians whining , when Canada is already requiring visa from UAE citizens ?? Stop you hypocrisy and double standards.. we should kick out all canadians from our country,, they need us more than we need them,

Air Emirates are like a huge dinosaur eating up everything that gets in it’s way. This dinosaur must be stopped before it’s too late otherwise they will eat other airlines out of the market and the passengers will pay the hefty price for it in the future. It will cost other countries many millions of jobs and only the UAE will benefit from it if it goes unhindered.
It’s been clear for some time now that the Airline has been thriving from UAE subsidies, this giving it an unfair position in the world market. It’s staff are paid poorly (about a quarter of European and North American rates), this giving it an extra advantage in the market.

There are approximately 186 countries in the world. Canadians do not have to visit UAE, if they are not respected/wanted. Unlike UAE and the citizens of UAE, canadians have money and do travel. I am sure they can find a decent country for a decent price to visit. Besides there is nothing facinating in UAE, except sand.
UAE has been experimenting with different nationalities for the past 50 years, and they are still in the experimenting process. At one time, they used to eat dates and drink camels milk.
